About Us

Our Mission
We live in an age of endless distraction. Kids are drowning in short-form content, algorithmic feeds, and instant gratification. Meanwhile, some of the most important books that have shaped how people think are sitting on shelves gathering dust.
Chapter Champ exists to change that. We believe there’s something irreplaceable about getting lost in a great story—and we’re building tools to make that experience accessible and engaging for students today.
Our Story
Two of our three founders, Austin and Dalton, are homeschool graduates. Our mom has been an educator her whole life and is still homeschooling our younger brother right now. When she mentioned she was looking for a way to test his reading comprehension, the idea for Chapter Champ was born.
Our third founder, Perry, went to a small country school right outside of Austin, Texas—the kind of place that gets the same treatment from big publishers that homeschoolers do: ignored.
We realized this wasn’t just our problem. The major curriculum companies build for large school districts with standardized requirements. That leaves families, independent schools, and passionate educators to piece things together on their own. Whether you’re a homeschool parent, a micro-school teacher, or running an independent reading program—the big ed-tech companies weren’t building for you.
So we decided to build it ourselves.
What We Built
Chapter Champ provides chapter-by-chapter comprehension quizzes for K-12 students, giving parents and educators real insight into what students are understanding as they read—not just a single test at the end of the book.
Our library spans thousands of titles across every reading level. Students answer engaging questions after each chapter, earn rewards for their progress, and build genuine comprehension skills along the way. Parents and teachers get a clear window into what their students actually understand.
What We Believe
We believe every kid deserves tools that make reading feel rewarding—not like a chore. We believe parents and educators shouldn’t have to settle for one-size-fits-all solutions built for someone else. And we believe that the best way to fight the distraction economy is to make great books impossible to put down.
Chapter Champ was built for families, schools, and educators who refuse to settle. We’re glad you’re here.
